  "Shakti Woman" By Vicki Noble

If you want to understand woman's power this is the book to read. This book is very insightful and written with joy and  compassion.

The Spirit Of Zen" By Alan Watts

Alan Watts passed away in 1973, he was one of the leading Western authorities in the art of Zen. I picked up this book some fifteen years ago,  since I am now a practitioner of Zen meditation   it is a book I have reached for.
"Man And His Symbols" edited, with an introduction by Carl G. Jung.

This book I have had in my library for many years as well. If you wish to understand "Self", dreams play an important part in that respect, and that's what this book pertains too, dreams and their many complexes. I am an advocate of dream interpretation, no one can interpret your dreams, one can help you to get there, but ultimately it is you that does so.
"Serpent Of The Nile" By Wendy Buonaventura ISBN# 1-56656-300-3
This book was recommended to me for the sake of it being  a great  history reference  for costumes and since I make my own costumes for the Sterling Renaissance Festival, why not.  I also have been taking classes in Tribal Dance, this is a wonderful history book for Dance in the Arab World.
"Love Beyond Life - The Healing Power of After- Death Communications" By Joel Martin & Patricia Romanowski ISBN# 0-06-017498-6
This truly is a wonderful book about how after death communications can happen, sometimes not always in the ways we think. I recommend this book highly.

" Kundalini - The Arousal of Inner Energy" By Ajit Mookerjee  ISBN# 0-89281-020-3

This is a phenomenal book about the kundalini energy that lays dormant with in all of us. This is not a how to book, but a book that explains the many processes that can occur when awakened. (Please be advised, one should not forcibly try to awaken the Kundalini . Also if one thinks  they are having a spontaneous awakening a great site to refer to is: The Spiritual Emergency Resource Center

"The Book Of Chakras"  By Ambika Wauters ISBN#- 0-7641-2107-3

I have found this book to be quite helpful in understanding what chakras are.( The word chakra derives from the Sanskrit for wheel). This is also a work book of sorts. If this is an area that one wishes to explore this is a great book to have.

"Mudras - Yoga in Your Hands" By Gertrud Hirschi ISBN# 1-57863-139-4

Mudras are yoga for your hands and fingers, many of us do mudras without even being aware that we are or even that they are mudras. Mudras are found in all cultures as well as believe systems.
